Why You Need to Play: Dragon's Dogma

Remember, wolves hunt in packs.

What is Dragon's Dogma? Dragon's Dogma (henceforth referred to as "DragDog" for brevity's sake) is a charmingly generic fantasy action-RPG about hunting and killing huge, terrifying beasts. Story-light, this gallivanting adventure pits you against hordes of monstrous foes with only your three faithful Pawns to ally with and trusts you to pick and choose from a plethora of unique classes, each with their own unique skill trees and powers, to take on (you guessed it) dragons, chimeras, griffins, cyclopses, golems, hydras and much, much more.

 7 Days To Die Review

7 Days to Die is a zombie survival game that focuses heavily on the aspects of survival and crafting. Originally released through the Steam Store, 7 Days to Die has made its way (questionably) straight onto the Xbox Marketplace, negating the Xbox Preview Program. Although hopelessly riddled with glitches and bugs, 7 Days to Die isn’t a write off just yet.

Why You Need to Play: Alpha Protocol

What is Alpha Protocol? Alpha Protocol is a Mass Effect-esque "Espionage RPG". Developed by Obsidian and directed by Chris Parker, Alpha Protocol is a technical MESS of a game. That should come as no surprise; I did say that it was by Obsidian, didn't I? You take the role of "Michael Thorton", the single smuggest man on the planet, who is tasked with unraveling a corporate plot to ignite World War 3.

Hawken (Xbox One) Review

Hawken is a first person mech shooter set in a dystopian war for what’s left of the planets natural resources, and it’s pretty fantastic. Unlike Pacific rim in which 90 meter high robots do battle with the equally terrifying Kaiju, you are not a lumbering tower of steel and muscle strands.

 Red Dead Redemption Backwards Compatible

Red dead: Redemption, 6 years later. Six long years following the release of one of Rockstar's most coveted games, and it would appear people still not only want to explore the amazing world of Red Dead, but they are willing to pay for it.

Iconic Video Game Heroines

 Iconic Video Game Heroines

Heroine.
'A woman admired for her courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.'
A fine definition, thank-you, Google. There’s no better way to kick off a Top 5 list of our most memorable heroines in video games. In this list I’ll simply be judging our top picks based on their heroics, as much as I'd love to include Isabella from Dragon Age 2 for that sexy pirate outfit. It wouldn't be fitting to the characters that have sacrificed and given so much in each of their own separate situations. Rules applied: One female from one franchise only.

3 British Games That We Totally Loved

Sometimes, in the world of gaming, little old Britain is overlooked. True, we're just a small island that some other larger countries around the world would describe as "somewhere in Europe" while jabbing at Germany on the map. But we've had our fair share of gaming glory, innovations and successes too. There are so many great British games to choose from, so if you don't see your favorites here don't worry! We will be revisiting this topic in '3 More British Games That We Totally Loved' in the future. For now though, here are our top three picks:
