Goat Simulator trots onto Xbox Platforms

A trailer appeared, right from the goats mouth, on the official Xbox Youtube channel just two days ago (13/03). It proclaimed the beloved physics based Goat Simulator will be coming to both the Xbox One and 360 consoles and it will be coming very soon.

If you're unfamiliar with the title, its premise is rather simple. The developer of the title, Coffee Stain Studios, describes the title as such:

"Gameplay-wise, Goat Simulator is all about causing as much destruction as you possibly can as a goat. It has been compared to an old-school skating game, except instead of being a skater, you're a goat, and instead of doing tricks, you wreck stuff. Destroy things with style, such as doing a backflip while headbutting a bucket through a window, and you'll earn even more points!"
If that doesn't catch your interest then maybe you've evolved past us basement dwellers, that find hilarity in rag doll physics games. But if it has caught your interest then you will be excited to know that it is scheduled for release this April.

So far the title ,developed and self published by Coffee Stain Studios, hasn't got a solid release date nor does it have a price tag as of yet. However the title sells for just $9.99 directly from the developer's website. But this is Microsoft we are dealing with, so unlike our PC gaming counterparts, prepare to take out a second mortgage for this title... Just in-case.

For further reading here are some hilarious features listed on the Coffee Stain Studios website.

  • You can be a goat
  • Get points for wrecking stuff - brag to your friends that you're the alpha goat
  • Steam Workshop support - make your own goats, levels, missions, game modes, and more!
  • MILLIONS OF BUGS! We're only eliminating the crash-bugs, everything else is hilarious and we're keeping it
  • In-game physics that spazz out all the time
  • Seriously look at that goat's neck
  • You can be a goat
